My Current Makeup Routine

Currently I go to an all girls school where makeup is well... banned. Which I think is ridiculous but that's for another post, so today I'm just going to talk you through my very subtle school makeup routine. 

I like to do my makeup in importance order, because lets be real I am always late so I like to know that if I have to run out of the house at least I've got some foundation on goddammit! So first of all I use the rimmel full coverage foundation, I am too cosy in bed to find its real name but I will put links to it at the bottom of the post so that you can find it because its bloody good. I use the palest colour, sadly it matches perfectly, I use flat foundation brush that I will probably have a breakdown if I ever lose because the name as rubbed off and its brilliant. I only apply foundation on my chin where I have mostly breakout scarring and it just needs a little oomph and also under my nose where my skin gets very red. Then a dab of collection lasting perfection concealer  Next on my get out of the house makeup is eyebrows, I tint my eyebrows so luckily I don't have to worry about the too much, but the fronts can look quite sparse so I swap between the collection eyebrow powder in the darkest colour or  my benefit eyebrow pencil. I often underline them with the flesh colour concealer in the mua colour correction pallet, that's only if I have time which is never. Next we have powder, I have very very oily skin and this essential,  I swirl my powder brush into the stila loose powder  and whack on my face focusing on my t-zone.  Finally is mascara, I use the miss sporty black mascara which is surprisingly good considering its whopping great price of £1.99. It is truly lovely for subtle but very lifted mascara. And that's it! At this point I'm probably already sprinting down the stairs with slapping some lip balm on my lips!

Problems With Feminism

Before I did my research and actually classed myself as a feminist I had a very narrow minded view on what feminism was. In my mind, I thought that it was a group (mostly lesbians with short blue hair -more on that later) that claimed that women are better than men. In some ways I still don't think that it was unjustified because I still see quotes like "I'm a feminist, I've been a female for a long time now   It would be stupid not to be on my own side". I just don't think that feminism is about that, surely it shouldn't be just about females then we're just as bad as men have historically been. Isn't it about men and women being equal, being valued and respected the same. But if feminism is just for females, am I actually I feminist or do I just believe in equality? Should Makeup Be Allowed In Schools?

Makeup. Such a controversial topic, especially in UK schools. We've all heard excuses as to why we are not allowed makeup but are the reasons really valid? I do firstly want to mention that I don't think boundaries with the type and how much makeup you can wear is a problem but to ban it all seems so unfair to me. Also I would like to say that I'm sorry that the quote at the beginning refers to on woman it was the quote I loved and I think that we can apply it to everyone. I think one of the main 'cons' to the allowance of makeup in schools is it being labelled as a distraction, we spend to much time applying it in the morning and then we're late. Or maybe we've touched it up in the bathroom and have missed registration, or even that the makeup will cause boys to act inappropriately, as ridiculous and stereotypical as it sounds this is what's being said.
