Barry M Flawless Matte Finish Review FACE 3
We've already had a foundation show down, but you know what has to happen before you can compare foundations? You have to try them! Ladies and gentlemen I bring you the Barry M flawless matte finish first impressions. Hold on a moment, this post should have come before the showdown...oops!
One of the first things that I noticed, and actually mentioned was strange, was the consistency of the foundation. It is has a thick mousy texture but then is light coverage. I know, I was confused too. I used a wet beauty blender, and to my surprises, it sunk in and sat on the skin gloriously. It definitely didn't cover all of my redness and pigmentation but I kind of like that because it was subtle.
In the showdown, I mentioned that the shade range was a disappointment. However, wrongly or rightly, it doesn't actually make a difference to me. I was still able to match by shade pretty well, normally I can just reach for the palest shade but with this foundation I really had to test lots of different colours. The problem that I have with foundation but concealer especially, is that all though I am pale I have very yellow toned skin. Most pale shades have pink undertones which just looks wrong and plasticy on my skin. That was one of the reasons that the Rimmel foundation worked so well; it was the perfect shade. I ended up settling for a foundation that was slightly too dark but its still works perfectly. There will be pictures at the end.
Overall, I do truly think that this foundation will be a winner. It's cruelty free, blend able and generally and average but nice foundation. If I'm going on a night out I would reach for something else mind, perhaps with a little more coverage. Not to say that this didn't provide good coverage and was blend able. A 8/10...for the price.

So here is my skin with absolutley no makeup on, you can see that all though it's good lighting, some redness is comig through. (above)
And this is with the foundation on: photographic evidence of a good foundation! (to the left)
